How do we get started on a creative project? What gets us going? How do we allow real and vital impulses to direct our actions vs trying to force ourselves to produce something? These questions and many others arise around the role of Eight energy and the creative process. Eight gives us the ability to take action—to move out of dreaming about our ideas and actually do the things necessary to realize them. Or it becomes a way of pushing ourselves around that makes it very difficult to open to the space and sensitivity necessary for creativity to flow. We will look at some examples of Eight energy in music, film, and visual art, but more importantly, we will consider the ways that Eight energy helps or hinders our openness to inspiration.
After the 60 minute talk, there will be approximately 30 minutes for question and answer.
