On October 22nd, The Awakened Company found its wings through community. Hundreds of people showed up at our first book launch in Calgary – from mothers, fathers, grandparents and children, to CEO’s, world renowned artists, Olympic skiers, designers and business leaders – all of whom gave our book its wings. It was a room filled with loving hearts and open minds!!! Truly incredible. Many thanks to Owl’s Nest Books, Rubaiyat, Master Chocolat (Anne Selmer), Chris Bolin Photography and MediaPop.
A very close friend of Catherine’s, Karen Radford, a senior executive from a leading energy transportation company, rock star and secret agent in general, kicked off the evening and had people in tears early. She set the exact right tone for the book to launch. Catherine then spoke on the journey of The Awakened Company, and Chris Papadopoulous acknowledged Namaste Publishing and Russ Hudson. Shawna Guiltner and Mark Montemurro, both entrepreneurs, founders and senior executives, spoke to the mercurial nature of an Awakened Company. The evening was a roaring success with many tears shed and hearts touched.
Wow. The community did not disappoint and indeed gave the book its wings. Thank you so much for all of your help and support in bringing it to life.
