Reclaiming wholeness:

A Journey into the Enneagram and the Five Buddha Families

Is your inner weather matching the world outside?

What if the seasons were not only happening around us, but within us?

Growth isn’t a straight line; it’s a cycle.

In this eight-week journey, we move beyond ‘fixing’ ourselves and instead learn to read the weather of our inner lives. By weaving together the ancient wisdom of Tibetan Buddhism, the psychological depth of the Enneagram, and the natural rhythms of the seasons, you’ll discover a map for living that honors mystery and your own innate wholeness.

What if the Seasons Were Not Only Happening

Around Us, But Within Us?

This eight-week course explores transformation through the wisdom of the Five Buddha Families from Tibetan Buddhism, the Enneagram, and the living rhythms of the seasons. Rather than treating growth as a linear project, we’ll approach it as cyclical, embodied, and ever-evolving. Each season reveals different energies, patterns, gifts, and invitations within our psyche, our being and our doing.

Drawing on contemplative tradition, psychological insight, and symbolic teaching, this unique course brings the Five Buddha Families and the Nine Enneagram Points into conversation. The Buddha Families offer a framework for understanding our encumbered patterns and particular forms of wisdom, while the Enneagram helps us recognize our defaults and wake up from automaticity. Together, they offer a compassionate map for transforming neurosis into wisdom and living more fully from our innate wholeness.

Over eight weeks, we explore how the seasonal cycle mirrors the movement of consciousness: spring inspires creativity, summer reveals vitality, fall invites abundance and letting go, and winter opens us to essence, stillness, and presence. This is not a course about fixing ourselves or locking ourselves into fixed types. It is about learning to read the weather of our inner life and to meet each season with greater awareness, compassion, discipline, courage, and trust.

What to expect from the course

Participants can expect:

  • Key teachings on the Five Buddha Families and the Nine Points of the Enneagram
  • Inquiry into seasonal energies and their symbolic meaning
  • Contemplative practices, journaling, and experiential reflection to cultivate a deeper sense of rhythm in your own unfolding

By the end of the course, you will have a richer map for living: one that honors timing, respects mystery, and supports a more awakened participation in the cycles of life.

Your 8-Week journey

Week One: Course Overview / The Mandala & The Enneagram: Maps of Wholeness

September 17, 9–11 am MDT

An overview of the Enneagram and the Buddha Families through the lens of nature’s seasons.

  • Explore the “mandala” as a lens of totality, from which we can appreciate multiple forms of wisdom and transform even our encumbrances – anger, depression, unworthiness, clinging, speediness – into their innate intelligence, insight, and strength.
  • Investigate the Enneagram’s nine points, and how each season evokes different points in us. We do not move through the year as one type. We move through changing fields of energy, and different points come alive in different seasons. So too, each point has its own inner seasons, and no point belongs to only one season.

Integration Session: September 21, 9–10 am MDT

Week Two: Fall / The Harvest: More Than Enough

September 24, 9–11 am MDT

A dive into the autumn season.

  • The Ratna Family invites our inherent sense of richness, abundance, and generosity; and reveals where any sense of unworthiness can unfold into innate self-esteem.
  • Fall carries the energies of Enneagram Points Four, Five, and Six. It is the season of descent, reflection, discernment, and preparation. Four feels the beauty and ache of what is passing. Five withdraws, observes, and conserves. Six senses change in the air and begins preparing for what may come.

Integration Session: September 28, 9–10 am MDT

Week Three: Fall/Winter / Let Go, Let Go: Falling into Clarity

October 1, 9–11 am MDT

Releasing from the abundance of autumn into the revealing clarity of late fall.

  • Late fall invites us to drop costumes and adornment in favor of bare, naked honesty. Here we meet the Vajra Family with its doubtless clarity and the capacity to transform anger and aggression into uncompromising insight.
  • Fall invites reflection, release, and discernment. In this exploration, we look at how each Enneagram point responds to transition, letting go, and the inward pull of autumn. Fall becomes a mirror for the ways each type meets change, beauty, loss, and ripening.

Integration Session: October 5, 9–10 am MDT

Week Four: Winter / The Wisdom of Openness

October 8, 9–11 am MDT

In all its starkness, winter invites us into spacious, all-encompassing openness.

  • The Buddha Family reveals our capacity to hold all things in open embrace, to relax into vast potentiality. How can we rest in this openness?
  • Winter carries the Enneagram energies of One, Five, Eight, and Nine. It is the season of essence stripped bare. One belongs to winter through clarity, restraint, and inner standards. Nine appears in the quiet vastness of winter. Five appears again in containment. Eight belongs here too through endurance, strength, and the instinct to protect life in harsh conditions. Nine in the sense things become more spacious in a wintery landscape.

Integration Session: October 13, 9–10 am MDT

Week Five: Winter/Spring / Turning Point: The Invitation of the Blank Page

October 15, 9–11 am MDT

From the open bareness of winter, we meet the possibility for new beginnings, fresh inspiration, the creativity of new life. At this mid-point in our course, we’ll take stock of where we have been, and realign our intentions moving forward into the creative life energies of spring and summer.

  • The Buddha Family invites us into beginner’s mind, the pregnant zero, the blank canvas on which anything becomes possible. As life energy begins to move, what do we want to create? What are we inspired by? The first inklings of the magnetizing fire of the Padma Family.
  • Winter invites stillness, clarity, and endurance. In this exploration, we look at how each Enneagram point responds to emptiness, simplicity, and the quiet demands of the season. Winter becomes a mirror for the ways each type meets limits, truth, rest, and inner strength.

Integration Session: October 19, 9–10 am MDT

Week Six: Spring / Shall I Dream? Shall I Create? Shall I Love?

October 22, 9–11 am MDT

The season of emergence, hope, and tentative renewal, Spring calls forth our capacity to dream, to love, to appreciate beauty in all its forms.

  • Padma Family magnetizes with its reminder of our innate capacity for bliss, sensuality, and deep relationship; the world comes alive in beauty and discerning wisdom.
  • Spring carries the energies of Seven, Nine, and Six. Seven is obvious here through possibility, freshness, and expansion. Nine belongs through harmony, soft greening, and natural unfolding. Six also fits spring because spring tests trust: is it safe yet to open? Spring invites renewal, growth, and emergence. In this exploration, we look at how each Enneagram point responds to new life, possibility, and the vulnerable energy of beginning again. Spring becomes a mirror for the ways each type meets hope, change, trust, and unfolding. We will also examine how all Enneagram Points can mirror spring in their approach.

Integration Session: October 26, 9–10 am MDT

Week Seven: Spring/Summer / Action! The Movement of Aliveness

November 5, 9–11 am MDT

As spring opens into summer, potentiality becomes actuality, inspiration becomes movement, beingness expresses its wisdom through action.

  • Karma Family highlights our ability to manifest and actualize our dreams; its movement reveals both the trap of unceasing speediness and the wisdom of all-accomplishment.
  • Summer carries the energies of Two, Three, and Eight. It is the season of fullness, visibility, vitality, and ripening. Two offers warmth, generosity, and relational abundance. Three brings brightness, productivity, and outward expression. Eight shows up as life-force, passion, and sheer aliveness.

Integration Session: November 9, 9–10 am MDT

Week Eight: Summer / Closing: Coming Full Circle

November 12, 9–11 am MDT

The fullness of summer reveals the completion of the circle.

Ultimately, we come to embrace all seasons; we practice to integrate all forms of wisdom and all points into the fullness of our inner life, the wholeness of our being, and the completeness of our expression in the world. What have we learned on this journey? What do we take with us — as insights, embodied practices, and living questions? How does our own journey become of service to others?

  • Summer invites fullness, vitality, and expression. In this exploration, we look at how each Enneagram point responds to abundance, visibility, and the energy of being fully alive. Summer becomes a mirror for the ways each type meets joy, intensity, connection, and fruition.

Integration Session: November 16, 9–10 am MDT
